Midwest Broadcast Journalists Association

The Midwest Broadcast Journalists Association is proud to announce the winners of the 2023 Eric Sevareid Awards. The awards, named for the North Dakota-born and University of Minnesota-educated journalist best known for his work as a correspondent for CBS Radio and Television, are presented each spring. The awards honor the best work done by student and professional journalists working for broadcast news operations in small, medium and large markets in our six-state region on radio, television and online.

The Eric Sevareid Awards were presented on Saturday, April 2 as part of the 2023 Midwest Journalism Conference held at the Graduate Hotel in Minneapolis.
